My Pets
Top Picture:  Charlie
Joe and I bought Charlie for my mom for Christmas last year.  He's a golden retreiver mix, born 10/08.  He is the resident trouble maker whereever he goes, but we love him just the same :)  His favorite pastime is running laps around the woods behind the house, and eating.  We think he may have been a racehorse in a previous life...

Middle Left and Right: Marta
Marta is my little Austrailan Sheperd.  She is my main helper for dog walks and pet sitting, which are tasks she takes very seriously. I adopted her as a one year old from the humane society, and her beginings seem to have instilled a great deal of fear in her.  I was hoping for a therapy dog, so I could voluteer at nursing homes with her.  This was not her calling, as she is too shy, but she is able to take hte most dog fearing human and put them entirely at ease.  She's a very special girl, and has helped a number of fearful children overcome their anxieties.  She will be four in December (10).

Bottom Left: Maggie
Maggie was a Siberian Husky/Samoyed mix.  She passed away at the age of twelve in February 2009.  We still miss her all the time, I have never met a dog who loved walking or playing in the snow so much.   Maggie taught me the joy of walking a dog.  Her enthusiasm was legendary, and daily walks were far from optional. She also enjoyed her visits at nurnsing homes immensely, and she was quite the local celebrity there as well :)

Bottom Right: Kola
Kola is my 14 year old Trakehner gelding.  We do French Classical Dressage and love riding through the fields around the farm where he lives.  He has a huge heart, and tons of energy.  He shares Charlie's love of running and food.
